The blank-page problem
Posting regularly is one of the best ways to grow on social media, and one of the hardest to keep up. AI can’t replace knowing your customers, but it is very good at turning your ideas into a full plan in minutes. Here is a simple routine you can repeat every month.
Step 1: give it your brief
Start by telling the AI about your business, your audience and what is happening this month: offers, events, holidays like National Day or Ramadan, and anything new.
You are a social media planner for a beauty salon in Doha. Our audience is women aged 22 to 45 who follow us on Instagram. In December we have a National Day offer and a new nail art service. Create a content calendar for December: 3 posts per week. Mix reels, carousels and single images. Format: a table with date, post type, idea, and a short caption.
Step 2: shape the mix
Ask the AI to balance your posts so you are not always selling. A useful rule of thumb is a mix of:
- Helpful: tips, how-tos and answers to common questions.
- Behind the scenes: your team, your work, your space.
- Social proof: reviews, results and customer stories.
- Offers: promotions and new services, but not every day.
Step 3: write captions in your voice
Once you like the plan, ask for full captions. Paste two or three of your best past posts and say “write in this style”, so it sounds like you. For a Gulf audience, ask for English and Arabic versions, and have a native speaker check the Arabic before posting.
Step 4: review, then schedule
- Check every date, price and offer. AI can make mistakes.
- Swap any idea that doesn’t feel like your brand.
- Use real photos of your business where you can; customers trust them more.
- Schedule the month in one sitting with Meta Business Suite or your favourite scheduling tool.
Let AI do the first draft; you make the final call.
